Volunteer Spotlight: Chelsea Roberts Wins Daily Point of Light Award for Advocacy and Mental Health Awareness

At the Global Volunteer Recognition Program, we are proud to celebrate one of our amazing members, Chelsea Roberts, for being honored with the Daily Point of Light Award — one of the most respected volunteer recognition awards in the United States.

This prestigious award, created by President George H. W. Bush and presented by Points of Light, celebrates outstanding volunteers who are making a significant difference in their communities. Chelsea was recognized for her powerful work advocating for Huntington’s disease awareness and mental health education.

As a passionate advocate, Chelsea turned personal hardship into a mission to help others. After her father’s diagnosis with Huntington’s disease, she co-founded WeHaveAFace Canada, an organization dedicated to raising awareness, offering support, and connecting families impacted by this rare neurological disorder. Through education, storytelling, and outreach, Chelsea has become a leading voice in both Huntington’s disease advocacy and mental health support.
