Derick Oh: Giving back through Tae Kwon Do

DERICK OH 2025 member

Derick Oh is a freshman of Westmont High School, who has dedicated over 150 hours of community service in the year of 2025. When Derick volunteers, he doesn’t view it as work but rather an experience to help him and his community progress in their future endeavours. His dedication is shown through leading Tae Kwon Do classes. Derick has learnt core values such as perseverance, respect, discipline, and responsibility.

These values branch out to more than just Tae Kwon Do and shape his academic and personal life. His commitment to consistently help classes and lead by example highlights his responsibility.

Looking ahead, Derick hopes to continue in his journey of involvement in community service while further developing leadership skills. He hopes to inspire other students with his hard work and deviation to become involved in service and realize the importance of giving back.
