Returns

Returns accepted for 180 days on some items.

Due to the customizations and personalization that is required for some products on this website we are not able to issue refunds or accept returns for those items unless there is an error in the order that is received. If there is an error we will work out a solution if we are notified within 180 days of delivery. The customer is responsible for return shipping for buyers remorse.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), medals, award certificates, membership fees, honor cords and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item. 

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Award Eligibility and Ineligible Purchases

Purchasing an award package does not guarantee eligibility for a Global Volunteer Award™.

Global Volunteer Awards™ have specific eligibility requirements, including active Global Volunteer Recognition Program™ membership and submission and verification of the required volunteer service hours. Customers are responsible for reviewing the eligibility requirements listed on the applicable award page before purchasing.

If an award package is purchased and the recipient does not meet the published eligibility requirements, the order cannot be issued as a Global Volunteer Award™. In these circumstances, the purchase amount will be provided as GVRP store credit rather than refunded to the original payment method.

Store credit does not expire and may be applied toward other eligible GVRP products, programs, recognition opportunities, membership, or merchandise.

A nomination for or participation in the Community Champion Spotlight does not constitute GVRP membership and does not establish eligibility for a Global Volunteer Award™.

If GVRP is unable to fulfill an eligible order due to an error or issue on our part, any applicable refund will be returned to the original payment method.

By completing an award purchase, the purchaser acknowledges that they have reviewed and understand the applicable award eligibility requirements and this refund policy.

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
