What is the Global Volunteer Recognition Program?
The Global Volunteer Recognition Program (GVRP) is a worldwide initiative that celebrates and supports volunteers who make a difference in their communities. Through awards, education, and community connections, GVRP ensures every volunteer is seen, heard, and recognized.
What is your mission?
Our mission is to celebrate the contributions of all volunteers to create a better world. We believe that recognition encourages continued service and inspires others to join in.
Who can join?
Anyone who volunteers is welcome! Whether you’re a student, working professional, pageant titleholder, or community leader, the Global Volunteer Recognition Program provides recognition and connection for all.
Membership and Awards
What are the benefits of membership?
- Automatic nominations for major volunteer awards
- Access to Leadership Academy courses and certifications
- Eligibility for the President’s Volunteer Service Award (when available)
- Invitations to Volunteer Award Galas and retreats
- Connection to a global network of changemakers
How much does membership cost?
Yearly membership is $100. This includes access to member-only programs, award nominations, and exclusive events.
Can I participate without being a member?
Yes. Many of our virtual volunteer projects are open to everyone. However, only members are eligible for awards and formal recognition.
Does the program certify volunteer hours?
Yes. Members log their own volunteer hours, which count toward award eligibility and certifications. Volunteers who co-host projects may also receive certificates of appreciation.

What kind of projects can I join?
We host free, virtual volunteer projects every month that can be completed from anywhere. Past projects include:

Yes. Volunteers can qualify for several recognition programs, including:

What is the Leadership Academy?
The Global Volunteer Recognition Program Leadership Academy offers 12 online courses focused on leadership, community service, and volunteer growth. Courses are sold separately and available to anyone interested in learning.
Do you offer certification programs?
Yes. Current online certification options include:

What are the Volunteer Award Galas and Retreats?
These annual celebrations honor volunteers from around the world. Attendance requires a separate ticket, but membership is not required to attend or receive awards.
