GVRP annual membership is designed for students, adults, families, pageant titleholders, nonprofit volunteers, corporate volunteers, remote volunteers, community leaders, and anyone who gives their time to make a positive difference.
Membership provides a structured way to celebrate your service, maintain a record of your impact, explore recognition opportunities, and stay connected with volunteer projects and leadership resources.
What Are GVRP Annual Membership Dues?
Individual annual membership dues are currently $100 per recognition year, which equals approximately $8.33 per month when divided across the year.
Like service clubs, leadership organizations, professional associations, scouting programs, and other dues-based communities, GVRP uses annual membership revenue to support program operations and member services.

Are Members Paying to Receive an Award?
No. Annual membership dues provide participation in the Global Volunteer Recognition Program and support the materials and services included with membership.
Membership does not allow someone to purchase an earned volunteer service award without completing the applicable requirements.
Recognition through hours-based programs such as the Global Volunteer Awards™ requires qualifying documented service. Volunteer hours and supporting information are reviewed according to the requirements of the applicable recognition year.
Physical medals, pins, printed award certificates, and other keepsakes may be available as optional purchases after eligibility requirements are met.

Which Membership Year Should I Purchase?
Choose the membership that matches the calendar year in which the volunteer service was completed.
For example:

Purchase a 2026 membership for eligible service completed between January 1 and December 31, 2026.

Purchase a 2025 membership for eligible service completed between January 1 and December 31, 2025.

Purchase a 2024 membership for eligible service completed between January 1 and December 31, 2024.
Joining later in the year does not limit membership to service completed after the purchase date. Members may document eligible service completed earlier in the same recognition year, subject to current deadlines and program requirements.
Past-year memberships should only be purchased when you have eligible service from that specific calendar year and can meet the applicable documentation and submission requirements.

Are Leadership Academy courses included?
Leadership Academy courses are separate self-paced educational products unless a specific membership listing states otherwise. Members may receive selected discounts or special offers when available.
Is the President’s Volunteer Service Award guaranteed?
No. PVSA availability depends on the national program, current certification status, official requirements, deadlines, and program availability. GVRP continues to provide its own volunteer recognition opportunities regardless of the status of outside award programs.
Can I join after the year has started?
Yes. Membership applies to eligible service completed during the corresponding calendar recognition year, including qualifying service completed before the date you joined.
