Honoring Dylan Nagra – Recipient of the American Citizenship Award
The Global Volunteer Recognition Program is proud to recognize Dylan Nagra as a recipient of the American Citizenship Award, presented to young leaders who demonstrate remarkable civic service, innovation, and compassion.
At just 15 years old, Dylan has already achieved an impressive combination of athletic excellence, academic accomplishment, authorship, and community impact. As a high-level competitive soccer goalkeeper, he plays for the New England Futbol Club (NEFC) in the Elite Club National League (ECNL-R) and has earned the Pike Leadership Award, Pike Coaches Award, multiple gold medals, and top academic honors.
Dylan is also co-founder and coach of Beyond Boundaries Soccer, a nonprofit that offers free adaptive soccer coaching to youth and adults with intellectual or physical disabilities, in partnership with the Special Olympics. His belief that “sports should unite, not divide” guides his inclusive coaching philosophy.
Beyond sports, Dylan is a co-founder of Green Teen Generation, a youth-led environmental initiative. He helped launch a nationwide plastic-reduction campaign and led large-scale tree-planting efforts. He has been recognized with the Titan Gold Sustainability Leader of the Year Award (2025), an Environmental Impact Award (2025), and a Sustainability Gold Medal (2024). He spoke at the World Youth Sustainability Summit on “The Crucial Role of Recycling and Waste Management: Strategies for Sustainability”.
As an author, Dylan co-wrote the internationally-awarded book Green Teens: Empowering Youth for a Sustainable Future and is working on his next book The Comeback Blueprint: Transforming Failures into Wins. He has delivered a TEDx talk titled “Failing to Fortune: Turning Setbacks into Success”.
In his community, Dylan volunteers with United Way of Acton, My Brother’s Table Soup Kitchen and Special Olympics outreach, supporting individuals and families in need. Through his service, he emphasizes that leadership is defined by impact and empathy.
