The Member-Exclusive Volunteer Awards Collection from the Global Volunteer Recognition Program™ gives active members additional ways to document volunteer hours, sustained participation, leadership, project contributions, and community impact.
Each award has its own eligibility and review requirements. Membership provides access to these recognition opportunities, but awards must still be earned through the applicable service, participation, leadership, project, or documentation criteria.
These awards recognize different parts of a member's volunteer journey. Members may qualify for more than one award when they independently meet each award's requirements.
Recognizes qualifying documented volunteer service completed during one calendar recognition year at the Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum level.
Recognizes eligible members who reach an important milestone through continued participation in the Global Volunteer Recognition Program.
Recognizes demonstrated excellence in volunteer leadership, initiative, service, community impact, and the ability to inspire or support others.
Recognizes a member's meaningful contribution to a completed volunteer project that produces a documented community benefit or positive result.
Optional Community Engagement Distinction: Members pursuing the Volunteer Project Impact Award may qualify for a complimentary Community Engagement Distinction when an upcoming project is submitted in advance, accepted through the official public Facebook event co-host process, completed, documented, and approved for the award. Advance calendar placement or a co-host invitation does not guarantee the distinction or award.
Maintain an active Global Volunteer Recognition Program membership for the applicable recognition year. Individual membership applies to one named member.
Document the qualifying hours, membership history, leadership, project contribution, or community impact required by the selected award.
Provide the requested information and supporting documentation. Recognition is issued only after eligibility and the submitted materials have been reviewed and approved.
Membership provides eligibility, not automatic approval. Purchasing membership or an award option does not replace the published service, participation, documentation, or review requirements. The Global Volunteer Recognition Program may request additional information before recognition is issued.
Annual membership supports program administration, member records, communications, volunteer-hour documentation support, technology, customer service, project development, and the standard certificate and custom annual member medal included with membership.
Offering selected awards separately helps keep annual membership dues as affordable as possible while allowing each member to choose the recognition that fits their individual accomplishments. Members are not required to purchase additional awards to maintain membership or receive the standard benefits included with it.
Separate digital and printed options also allow members to build a personalized record of service without paying in advance for awards or keepsakes they may not want or qualify to receive.
Yes. Every award in this collection is reserved for active Global Volunteer Recognition Program members. The required membership year must match the applicable service, project, leadership, or recognition year when stated in the award requirements.
No. Membership provides access and eligibility to apply or submit qualifying information. Each award has separate criteria, and recognition is issued only after the applicable requirements are met and approved.
Yes. A member may qualify for multiple awards when the requirements for each recognition opportunity are independently met. Approval for one award does not automatically qualify the member for another.
No. The Global Volunteer Awards use documented annual volunteer hours. The leadership and project awards do not have a fixed minimum hour requirement. The milestone certificate is based on qualifying membership history rather than volunteer hours.
No. Eligible membership years may be combined even when there is a gap between them. The milestone is based on total qualifying years of Global Volunteer Recognition Program membership.
