Dr. Sara Dukart

Dr. Sara Dukart was born in Portland, Maine where she lived in foster care until she was adopted at age 3. Her family moved and she had the opportunity to live internationally in New Zealand for over a year in First grade. Then moved to Minnesota where she grew up until graduation. She moved to North Dakota for college where she met her husband. She has been married for 13 years and has two beautiful children, Carter (5) and Caia Rose (3). As a family they enjoy traveling, camping and spending time together.
She holds two undergraduate B.S degrees in Community Health and Nursing. She went on to further her passion for serving others to earn her doctorate degree as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She currently works in a trauma level one emergency department and outpatient clinic.
She fully believes in the importance of volunteering and giving back. Her passion has been devoted to mental health and suicide prevention. She has volunteered with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention for the past 10 years and sits on the board of directors for North Dakota. She also co-chairs the advocacy committee for the chapter. She developed the platform Hope through Help and her own podcast called, “Starting the Convo” to decrease the stigma and educate on mental health and suicide prevention. She most recently held the title of International Mrs North Dakota 2024 and placed third runner up for the title of International Mrs USA.
