The Global Volunteer Recognition Program offers and curates monthly remote volunteer opportunities for students, families, working professionals, retirees, pageant titleholders, community groups, and volunteers around the world. Most projects can be completed on your own schedule, and GVRP membership is not required to participate in most opportunities.
Why Remote Volunteering Matters
Remote volunteering makes community service more accessible for people who have busy schedules, limited transportation, health or mobility considerations, family responsibilities, or few volunteer organizations nearby.

Writing Cards for Children With Cancer
Volunteers created encouraging cards for children receiving cancer treatment. Projects like this allow people of many ages to offer hope and kindness through a simple activity completed at home.
Mapping Remote Areas to Support Medical Teams
Digital volunteers helped improve maps of underserved areas so medical and humanitarian teams could better locate communities and plan their work. This type of virtual volunteering can contribute to larger global response efforts.
Decorating Lunch Bags for Food Programs
Volunteers decorated lunch bags with colorful artwork and encouraging messages for organizations serving children and families experiencing food insecurity.

How to Participate in a Monthly Project
Getting started is simple:

Follow the instructions provided by GVRP and the organization being supported.

Record the date, activity, organization, time served, and proof of completion when available.

Submit materials directly to the receiving organization when the project instructions require it.

Can Remote Volunteer Hours Count?
Remote volunteer hours may count when the activity is meaningful, completed for a volunteer purpose, and properly documented. Requirements can vary between schools, scholarship programs, employers, volunteer organizations, awards, and recognition programs.
