Aric Nagra Earns American Citizenship Award

Honoring Aric Nagra – Recipient of the American Citizenship Award

The Global Volunteer Recognition Program proudly recognizes Aric Nagra as a recipient of the American Citizenship Award for his exceptional achievements in athletics, leadership, environmental advocacy, and community service. At just fourteen years old, Aric is already making a global impact through his compassion, innovation, and dedication to inclusion.

Aric is a multi-sport athlete whose accomplishments span soccer, basketball, and tennis. Playing as a striker for New England Futbol Club (NEFC), one of the region’s most competitive programs, Aric has earned six gold and two silver medals, along with the Most Valuable Player award at The Pike School and the Kerri Katter Award for excellence, teamwork, and integrity. His drive, focus, and leadership both on and off the field set him apart as a role model for his peers.

Aric’s leadership extends beyond athletics. He is the CEO, co-founder, and coach of Beyond Boundaries Soccer, a nonprofit organization he launched with his brothers to provide inclusive soccer coaching for individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities. The program partners with the Special Olympics and local recreation groups to ensure that every athlete—regardless of ability or background—can experience the joy of sports in a supportive environment.

Through Beyond Boundaries Soccer, Aric has helped create a community that values belonging, teamwork, and confidence. He leads training sessions, develops adaptive drills, and mentors players, empowering participants who are often excluded from traditional sports programs. His vision has turned inclusive soccer into a model of empathy, accessibility, and community engagement.

In addition to his athletic leadership, Aric is a passionate environmental advocate. He helped launch a nationwide plastic reduction campaign that encourages schools to reduce waste and adopt sustainable practices. His initiative has inspired thousands of students across the country to take action against pollution.

Aric also served as a speaker at the World Youth Sustainability Summit, where he presented on “Strategies for Reducing Plastic Consumption in Educational and Domestic Environments.” His advocacy highlights the importance of youth leadership in tackling global environmental challenges.

As the co-author of Green Teens: Empowering Youth for a Sustainable Future and author of Resilience in Sports (forthcoming), Aric uses writing to inspire others to pursue environmental stewardship and personal growth.

Aric is equally devoted to serving his local community, volunteering with Special Olympics, United Way of Acton, and My Brother’s Table Soup Kitchen. His acts of service demonstrate that leadership is about compassion and impact, not recognition.

He has also excelled academically, earning two Gold Ribbons in Math Olympiad, an Honorable Mention in the National French Exam, and delivering a TEDx Talk titled “The Psychology and Benefit of Sports.” His message encourages youth to use athletics as a pathway to confidence, resilience, and mental health.

Aric Nagra embodies the future of leadership—one grounded in inclusion, empathy, and action. His service to others and his dedication to positive change truly reflect the values of the American Citizenship Award.

Congratulations, Aric, on this incredible accomplishment. Your leadership inspires youth everywhere.
