Every annual membership represents a commitment to volunteer service, community involvement, and creating a positive impact. This milestone certificate gives GVRP an inclusive way to recognize members who continue returning to the program and making service part of their lives.

Available Member Milestones

Qualifying members may be recognized at the following levels:

• Three GVRP Membership Years

• Five GVRP Membership Years

• Ten GVRP Membership Years

Membership years do not have to be consecutive. A member may qualify using any combination of eligible GVRP annual membership years recorded under their name.

For example, memberships from 2023, 2024, 2025, 2026, and 2027 represent five qualifying GVRP membership years. A member who participated in 2023, 2024, and 2026 would qualify for the three-year milestone even though the membership years were not consecutive.

Complimentary Digital Certificate for Qualifying Members

A personalized digital milestone certificate is automatically included when a member reaches an eligible milestone. There is no additional charge and no separate digital certificate purchase is required.

The digital certificate recognizes the member’s qualifying number of GVRP membership years and ongoing commitment to volunteer service. It may be saved, printed, shared online, or added to a:

• School or scholarship portfolio

• Resume or professional portfolio

• Volunteer service record

• Leadership portfolio

• Pageant platform or community-service portfolio

• Personal achievement file

• Social media announcement

The complimentary digital certificate helps GVRP recognize loyal members without increasing the overall annual membership fee or requiring members to purchase recognition they may not want.

Optional Printed Member Milestone Certificate

Qualifying members may order an official printed version of their milestone certificate for $5 plus shipping.

The printed certificate is personalized with the member’s name and qualifying milestone level. It provides a lasting physical record of continued participation in the Global Volunteer Recognition Program and can be displayed, framed, included in a portfolio, or presented during a personal or organizational recognition event.

Purchasing the printed certificate is completely optional. Members will still receive the complimentary digital certificate when they reach an eligible milestone.

Who Qualifies?

To qualify for a Sustained Commitment to Volunteer Service Member Milestone Certificate, the recipient must:

• Have official GVRP memberships for the required number of recognition years

• Have the qualifying memberships recorded under the same individual’s name

• Have an active membership for the recognition year in which the milestone is issued

• Meet the requirements for the three-year, five-year, or ten-year milestone

• Not have previously received the same milestone level

Membership years do not need to be back-to-back. Members may take time away from the program and continue building toward a future milestone when they return.

The newly purchased membership year counts toward the milestone as soon as the membership is confirmed. A member with four prior qualifying membership years who purchases a fifth membership year may be recognized at the five-year level without waiting until the end of the new recognition year.

Are Volunteer-Hour Records Required?

This particular recognition is based on participation in GVRP across multiple membership years. It does not require a specific number of volunteer hours or a separate volunteer-hour submission.

GVRP membership represents an ongoing connection to volunteer service, recognition, leadership, and community impact. Members seeking recognition based on documented annual hours may also work toward the Global Volunteer Awards™, which have separate service-hour, documentation, and review requirements.

Why Is the Printed Certificate Sold Separately?

The digital milestone certificate is included as a member benefit to make this recognition accessible to every qualifying member.

The printed certificate is offered separately so members can choose the recognition format that fits their needs. This approach helps GVRP keep annual membership dues as affordable as possible while avoiding an automatic increase to cover printed materials, packaging, and shipping that every member may not want.

Members are never required to purchase a printed milestone certificate to maintain their membership, receive their digital certificate, or qualify for future milestone levels.

How Does GVRP Verify Eligibility?

GVRP will review its membership records to confirm the recipient’s qualifying membership years and milestone level. If an order is placed using a different name or email address from previous memberships, GVRP may contact the purchaser for additional information before preparing the certificate.

Purchasing a printed certificate does not create eligibility for a milestone. Orders are reserved for members who have reached the applicable three-year, five-year, or ten-year membership level.
